Resource Hacker is a freeware utility that allows users to view, modify, rename, add, delete and extract resources in 32-bit Windows executables and resource files.
Resource Hacker can view cursor, Icon, Bitmap, GIF, AVI and JPG images. WAV and MIDI audio resources can be played as well as menus dialogs, Message Tables, String Table, Accelerators, Delphi forms and Version Info resources can be viewed as decompiled resource scripts.
Resources can be saved as image files (ICO, BMP), script files (RC) and binary or untyped binary files. Resources can also be modified by replacing the resource with a resource located in another file or by using internal resource script compiler.
Adding resource can be done by simply copying them from the external resource files. Most compilers add resources into applications which are never used by the application. Removing unused resources can reduce an application’s size.
